Why a contact might see the pop-up even if it's not new?
BusinessChat relies on two key pieces of information to detect new contacts:
E-commerce Store Data: When a contact logs into their account, the system knows they are not a first-time visitor.
Cookie Storage: Cookies on the contact’s device track their interactions. If a contact uses a different device or clears cookies, previous engagement—including sign-ups for the Welcome Series—might not be recognized.
In these cases, even if the contact isn’t new, they may still see the popup.
How exit intent works?
Desktop: Detected when the visitor moves their mouse toward the browser edge to close the tab or switch to another tab.
Mobile: Detected when the user switches tabs or clicks the back button.
