What is the Business Wallet?

The Business Wallet serves as the central hub for all prepaid operations within the BusinessChat ecosystem. Consolidating your WhatsApp and BusinessChat usage costs into a single top-up balance and shared credit line eliminates operational interruptions. This unified hub allows you to oversee all messaging expenses directly within the platform for total financial visibility.

To manage these accounts effectively, it is essential to understand the "BusinessChat Markup."

Definition of BusinessChat Markup: BusinessChat consumption fees for the extra free bundle messages (AI or WhatsApp messages).

Important: BusinessChat does not incur any extra fees on WhatsApp Messages for accounts opting for the shared credit line. You will only pay Meta’s specific template price for all WhatsApp messages.

While all prepaid users use the Business Wallet, the specific scope of costs it covers depends on the billing mode selected during activation or migration.

1. Choosing Your Billing Mode

All prepaid users use the Business Wallet, but you can choose how much it covers:

Option A: BC Usage Only

This mode is best if you prefer to pay Meta directly.

  • What the Wallet Covers: Only the BusinessChat consumption and AI message fees.

  • What You Pay Meta: You must keep a valid credit card in your Meta Business Suite. Meta will bill you directly for their base message rates.

  • Requirement: Works with your existing WhatsApp account (WABA).

Option B: All Usage (Credit Line)

This mode simplifies everything into a single balance.

  • What the Wallet Covers: Everything—Meta’s message charges, BusinessChat consumption, and AI fees.

  • How Payment Works: You do not use your own credit card on Meta. Instead, your account uses the BusinessChat Shared Credit Line.

  • Requirement: This requires a quick migration to a new WhatsApp Business Account (WABA).

  • Currency: This mode is currently available in USD only.

2. Free Message Bundles

Every prepaid plan comes with free message bundles to help you get started.

  • Two Types of Bundles: You receive a quota for AI usage and a quota for WhatsApp consumption (covering both service messages and templates).

  • How it Works: We always use your free bundle first. Once the bundle is empty, costs are deducted from your Business Wallet balance.

  • Monthly Renewal: Your bundle resets to its full amount on the first day of every month.

  • New Accounts: If you join mid-month, your first bundle will be "prorated" (adjusted) based on the number of days left in that month.

3. Important Rules & Warnings

  • Service Interruptions: If you migrate to "All Usage," there may be a brief 5-minute service pause while we set up your new account.

  • Irreversibility: Once you enable the "All Usage" credit line, you cannot switch back to the "BC Usage Only" mode.

  • Zero Balance Impact: If your wallet hits zero and your free bundle is finished, all messaging will stop. AI responses will be disabled, and all automated workflows will pause.

  • Refunds: Wallet balances are non-refundable and will expire one year after your last account activity.

  • Simplicity: You receive clear top-up invoices and can see all your messaging expenses in one place.
