How will consumption above my monthly free conversation bundle be charged?

Conversation Bundles and Consumption Details

BusinessChat subscription plans include a free conversation credit that renews monthly as part of your annual subscription. However, you are required to pay for any conversations that exceed this free allowance. On the first day of each month, your consumption from the previous month is calculated, and an invoice is issued for any excess usage (if applicable).

How Conversation Consumption is Calculated

Based on your specific subscription plan, you are entitled to a set number of free conversations that renew every month. Clarification Note: The full value of the annual subscription plan is paid upfront, while billing for additional conversations (exceeding the bundle) occurs on a monthly basis.

Free Monthly Credits per Plan:

  • Annual Basic Plan: Includes 1,000 free conversations per month.

  • Annual Advance Plan: Includes 20,000 free conversations per month.

  • Annual Plus Plan: Includes 50,000 free conversations per month.

  • Annual Elite Plan: Includes 150,000 free conversations per month.

Consumption Invoice Components: Depending on your plan, your bundle includes free WhatsApp conversations and AI-powered BusinessChat chatbot messages (if the AI feature is enabled on your account).

⚠️ Very Important Note: While the conversation credits are renewed monthly, BusinessChat subscription plans themselves are annual only. There are no monthly subscription plans available.

Attention

The billing cycle applies to BusinessChat customers who subscribe to our standard online payment plans. However, it does not apply to enterprise customers who pay via bank transfer.

Excess Conversation Costs

Depending on your subscription plan, you will be charged $10 (SAR 40) for every 1,000 conversations that exceed your free monthly bundle. These are additional fees for excess consumption.

Illustrative Example: If you are subscribed to the Basic Plan and consume 2,500 conversations during the past month, the calculation will be as follows:

  • The first 1,000 conversations: Free (included in the bundle).

  • The remaining 1,500 conversations: Subject to excess fees.

  • Total Charge: You will pay $20 for the 1,500 additional conversations.

How do I view and understand the details of my BusinessChat invoice?

If you need to understand the specifics of an invoice issued to your BusinessChat account, follow these steps:

  1. From your account avatar, click Manage Subscription

  2. Navigate to the Subscription History section.

  3. Click on the specific invoice you want to review and select "Download" to save it to your device.

  4. Review the line items in the downloaded invoice: Open the file to see the breakdown, which may include one or more of the following:

    • Subscription [Plan Name]: The base cost of your annual plan.

    • Conversations monthly usage: Charges for WhatsApp conversations exceeding your free monthly bundle.

    • AI Resolutions: Charges for BusinessChat AI-powered chatbot messages exceeding your free monthly bundle.
