The cornerstone of a successful e-commerce WhatsApp strategy is data accuracy and catalog control. The Products Management Page is your centralized control hub to browse, manage, and monitor your synced store catalog.
1. Mastering the Products Management Page (Your Control Hub)
The Products Management Page provides a single workspace to govern your synced storefront data. It is built around five core features designed to keep your catalog healthy, accurate, and ready for deployment:
1. Browse and Search Your Store Catalog
Unified View: View all products synced from your connected e-commerce store in one place.
Seamless Exploration: Search and explore your catalog easily, checking product titles, images, and prices at a glance.
2. On-Demand Product Syncing
Manual Synchronization: While automatic catalog syncing happens daily, you can manually trigger an on-demand sync of your e-commerce products whenever needed. This ensures that any new arrivals, price modifications, or sudden stock changes on your e-commerce platform are reflected in BusinessChat in real-time.
To manually force products sync, follow these steps:
From your profile avatar, click Settings, and then click Products under E-commerce store settings
Click "More" from the top of the page
Click Sync products
Sync will be initiated and Products will refresh automatically once the sync completes.
3. Manage Recommended Products
Set Promotion Priorities: Hand-select and prioritize specific products to display in all system-generated outbound carousel messages (such as Browse Abandonment automations or Product Recommender suggestions).
To configure this setting:
From your profile avatar, click Settings, and then click Products under E-commerce store settings
Click "More" from the top of the page
Click Customize recommended products
From the popup, choose the desired products and click Save.
4. Control Product Availability
Toggle Exclusions: Choose whether to include or exclude inactive product statuses (drafts, archived items, or out-of-stock statuses) in your automated messages and campaigns, ensuring your virtual assistant or marketing broadcasts never recommend unavailable stock.
To configure this setting:
From your profile avatar, click Settings, and then click Products under E-commerce store settings
Click "More" from the top of the page
Click Product Settings and toggle on or off the option to Exclude archived products. Click Save.
5. Identify Catalog Issues & Health Checks
Before sharing products with customers, use built-in filters to run a health check and isolate product issues. You can filter and flag products with missing details, including:
Missing images (which can cause carousel cards to appear broken or unprofessional)
Missing descriptions (which are critical for chatbot search accuracy)
Missing prices (which prevent frictionless checkout transitions)
2. Advanced Use Cases Powered by the Products Management Page
Once your catalog is synced, verified, and active on the Products Management Page, you unlock the ability to share store products directly with your audience. This eliminates copying links, switching tabs, or navigating external dashboards.
Use Case A: Live Customer Support (Manual Inbox Sharing)
Agents can recommend products dynamically to shoppers in real-time during support chats.
Frictionless Workflow: While chatting with a customer in the Inbox, simply click the e-commerce product icon to browse your synced catalog, pick one or multiple products, and send them instantly.
Session Rule: Inbox product sharing is available exclusively for opened WhatsApp sessions (within the active 24-hour customer service window) and cannot be sent via paid WhatsApp template messages.
Use Case B: Interactive Marketing Campaigns (Broadcast Button Replies)
Turn bulk broadcasts into interactive digital storefronts by linking product carousels to quick-reply buttons.
Frictionless Conversion: When launching an interactive marketing campaign with quick-reply buttons (such as "Browse Offers"), you can configure custom replies for each button.
Attaching Products: Instead of replying with standard text, you can attach a single product card or a multi-product carousel directly to your campaign custom replies, sending customers straight to your store checkout.
3. Supported Product Sharing Formats
Whether sharing manually in the Inbox or automatically in campaign replies, products are displayed on WhatsApp in two rich formats:
CTA Product Messages: Best for highlighting a single product. It displays the product image, title, description, original price, discounted final price (if applicable), and a direct Call-to-Action button to buy or view details.
Interactive Product Carousel Messages: Best for curating collections of up to 10 products. Customers can swipe horizontally through highly visual cards to compare prices and images directly inside the WhatsApp chat thread.
Note: All product details, including images, titles, original prices, and tax-inclusive final prices, are automatically populated in real-time from your synced store catalog.
4. Key Requirements & Important Notes
Platform Compatibility: This feature is available to any business with an active e-commerce integration—including Salla, Zid, Shopify, WooCommerce, and Magento—and synced store products.
Facebook Catalog Replacement: This native feature completely replaces the legacy Facebook Catalog product-sharing method. All product syncing and management must now be done natively through the BusinessChat Products Management Page.
